Eat Well Live Well
A guide to Healthy Eating
About Me
This is Youwen Wu. I am a Master of Education student at OISE studying Curriculum and Pedagogy with a focus on Digital Technologies in Education. I earned my honours bachelor's degree from the University of Toronto Mississauga with a double major in economics and digital media. I have a strong passion for using digital technology within the classroom. Additionally, I have expertise in these fields and am fascinated by digital media and development. I intend to merge my expertise in digital media and development with education to improve how students are educated.
I've always been intrigued by how particular foods affect my mental and physical wellness. I love scientific diet plans and research on how nutrition can have the most beneficial or least detrimental effect on overall health. A healthy diet also has long-term health benefits, such as a lower risk of becoming overweight or obese as well as a lower risk of developing non-communicable diseases in later life. Nevertheless, there has been a shift in dietary patterns due to the increasing manufacturing of fast foods, growing urbanization, and changing lifestyles. Nowadays, people consume more meals that are excessive in calories, fat, free sugar, and sodium but do not intake sufficient amounts of vegetables, greens, and other dietary fibres like whole grains. As a result, I created this website that focuses on healthy eating in the interest that people can learn more about the benefits of a healthy diet and how to keep it.
